As heard on : “Country Pumpkin” by Willy Patrick & The Dark Organs
Reason to buy : Because sometimes you need a fuzz so massively defined, so impossibly sharp, so utterly immovable and sonically impenetrable that only the Op-Amp style distortion from 1977 will do. This little orange box of bedlam even uses NOS ( not that kind Vin Diesel! It stands for New Old Stock ) parts from way back, when you could smoke on a plane and everyone had scotch for breakfast. This thing sounds so bang on that it could all just be a Siamese Dream....sorry.
Reason not to buy : You may alienate yourself from the the rest of the band and eventually get into wrestling.
Fun Fact : Pumpkins were nearly hunted to extinction for their transparent midrange frequencies. Their inclusion in 1996 to the “Endangered Species” act, ensured their survival.
